Meet Lola Oyewusi, contesting to be Police & Crime Commissioner for Kent


Meet Councillor Omolola (Lola) Oyewusi. She is the police and crime commissioner candidate representing the Labour and Coop Party in the PCC elections (Kent) which will hold on the 7th of May this year and she intends to bring a diverse perspective into the role, should she be successful in her bid. 

She is a multi award winner for community impact issues and she is also chair of a multi-faith group for a large housing association. Lola is chair of her local labour branch in Aylesford, Chatham, chair of Medway Stand Up To Racism group, vice-chair of Medway trade union council.

Lola is a trade unionist, a church & charity leader and first ever black woman to be selected to contest for such a high profile role of a police crime commissioner in Kent.
