Funke Akindele's 'Omo Ghetto' (The Saga) Becomes Nigeria's Highest Grossing Movie

 

Funke Akindele-Bello and JJC Skillz’ directorial debut film “Omo Ghetto (The Saga)” has been named Nollywood’s highest-grossing movie of all time, breaking a four-year record held by Kemi Adetiba’s 2016 comedy movie “The Wedding Party“.

U.S President Elect Joe Biden called a Nigerian family to thank them for supporting his election campaign. In the 12 minute long call, he noted that they were randomly selected from a list of campaign donors which included the Nigerian dad Doctor Oke.

VIDEO: Nigerian food videos trending on TiKTok leading to long queues at restaurants in the U.S.A

Nigerian food videos have been trending on the social media app Tik Tok in the last few days. Majority of the uploads appear to be by U.S residents who have been sharing videos of them eating fufu and egusi soup. The viral video has apparently led to long queues at Nigerian restaurants across the USA notable among which is a certain Veronica's Kitchen in Inglewood, California.
